Medical Vision Technology is an organization of general and specialized Ophthalmologists, dedicated to patient care and to improving quality of life though life-changing vision procedures and treatments. Our group of Ophthalmologists can provide the most outstanding care in most ophthalmic areas including Cataract, glaucoma, Medical retina, Ophthalmic Plastic and Re-constructive surgery services as well as laser vision correction.

Education:

Dr. Yang earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, graduating with distinction and honors, from Stanford University. She then completed her medical education and received her medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine. Following medical school, she completed an internship in internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara. Dr. Yang went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, which is recognized as one of the nation’s leading programs in ophthalmic education and research. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), which enables her to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and best practices in ophthalmology and cataract surgery.

Specialization:

Dr. Yang is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery. She utilizes both traditional and femtosecond laser surgical techniques, and she offers premium multifocal and astigmatism-reducing lenses. Dr. Yang treats a variety of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, diabetic retinopathy, and eyelid disorders. Additionally, she performs in-office laser procedures such as YAG laser capsulotomy, laser iridotomy, and selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT).

Background, Interests & Hobbies

Dr. Yang was born in Beijing, China, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She is fluent in Mandarin and is dedicated to providing quality eye care that is accessible and comfortable for a diverse range of patients. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Yang loves spending time with her family and her sweet Cavapoo, Winnie. She also enjoys gardening, swing dancing, and crafting.
