About Dr. Grand

Dr. Grand grew up in the Sacramento area and received his Undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Visual Arts from the University of California, San Diego. He then obtained his Medical Doctorate from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his Medical Internship at Tufts University, Lemuel Shattuck Hospital then went on to complete his Ophthalmology training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2006. Afterwards, he completed a combined fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology & Oculoplastics at the St John Health System in Michigan trained by Thomas C. Spoor, M.D. Through this he aggressively trained in the science of ptosis, blepharospasm, cranial nerve palsies, Horners syndrome, double vision, temporal arteritis, autoimmune conditions of the eye including lupus and multiple sclerosis, optic nerve swelling, eye pain, myasthenia gravis, eye muscle disorders, nystagmus, trigeminal/occipital neuralgia, spasmodic torticollis, ischemic optic neuropathy, visual disturbances, Parkinson's, visual field defects, gaze disorders, management of migraines using nerve blocks and Botox, eyelid tumors, tearing, dry eye, ectropion, entropion. Dr. Grand is paneled in all commercial insurances including Hills.
