Dr. Alexander Grand, MD, is an Oculoplastic Surgeon & Neuro-Ophthalmologist in Roseville, CA, and performs surgery out of both Roseville and Sacramento. Dr. Grand grew up in the Sacramento area and received his Undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Visual Arts from the University of California, San Diego. He then obtained his Medical Doctorate from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his Medical Internship at Tufts University, Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, and then went on to complete his Ophthalmology training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2006. Afterwards, he completed a combined fellowship in Oculoplastics, Lacrimal & Neuro-Ophthalmology at the St. John Health System in Michigan, under the supervision of Thomas C. Spoor, M.D. Through this he aggressively trained in the science of blepharoplasty, dacryocystorhinostomy, ptosis, eyelid tumors, tearing, dry eye, ectropion, entropion, post mohs reconstruction, eyelid tightening procedures, canthoplasty, tarsorrhaphy, eyelid reconstruction, chalazion, excision, Eyelid lesion removal, thyroid eye disease, cranial nerve palsies, Horners syndrome, double vision, temporal arteritis, autoimmune conditions of the eye including lupus and multiple sclerosis, optic nerve swelling, eye pain, eye muscle disorders, ischemic optic neuropathy, visual field defects, nerve palsies.
