Cosmetic Center – Medical Vision Technology

The appearance of your skin and eyes changes a lot over the years. Aging, sun exposure, the environment, heredity and your general health can all take their toll on your appearance. At Medical Vision Technology, we understand that for some, part of feeling good is looking good. If you are interested in regaining your youthful glow, Medical Vision Technology has what you’re looking for.

Our cosmetic experts here at Medical Vision Technology offer a wide range of procedures to help you look and feel your best.

Upper & Lower Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is one of the most common oculoplastic surgeries. A blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that repairs or reconstructs the upper and lower eyelids. A blepharoplasty is typically performed as a cosmetic procedure, but can also help improve the functionality of droopy, saggy eyelids.

A blepharoplasty can be performed to treat a number of issues, such as:

  • Bags under the eyes.
  • Loose, saggy skin above the eye, which can sometimes impair vision.
  • Excess fatty deposits that appear as puffiness in the eyelids.
  • Drooping lower eyelid.
  • Excess skin and fine wrinkles on the lower eyelid.

The blepharoplasty procedure is fairly simple, and requires no hospital stay. First, your surgeon will administer anesthesia. You can have either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia, your doctor will recommend which is best for you. Your surgeon will then make the incision.

The placement of the incision depends on whether you are having an upper or lower blepharoplasty. During an upper blepharoplasty, the incision will be made within the natural crease of the eyelid. During a lower blepharoplasty, the incision will be made just below the lower lash line or inside of the lower eyelid.

Once the proper adjustments have been made to the eyelid, your surgeon will close the incision with removable sutures, skin adhesives and surgical tape.

Full results can take several months, although the initial healing takes a few weeks. After surgery, you will experience bruising and swelling. It is recommended to take time from work to properly care for yourself during the healing process. Most patients go back to work after a week.

Juvederm

For those looking for non-surgical rejuvenation, Medical Vision Technology offers Juvederm. Juverderm is a family of injectable hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used to get rid of fine lines, wrinkles, smile lines and restore fullness to lips. Juvederm is injected into the skin and, unlike Botox, actually fills lines and wrinkles. Juvederm results can last for 9 months to a year.

Cosmetic Botox

Botox is one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedures in America. Botox targets the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet. One of our cosmetic experts will inject the muscles in your face to temporarily reduce muscle activity in the target area. After this, you will notice a visible smoothing in your forehead and frown lines.

Teamine for Dark Circles

At Medical Vision Technology, we also offer an eye cream for dark circles called Teamine. Teamine is formulated to provide three primary benefits: diminish dark under eye circles, reduce puffiness around the eyes, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Light diffusing technology brightens and clarifies the under eye area. This cream offers powerful anti-oxidants that provide additional anti-aging benefits.

Latisse for Eyelash Growth

Latisse is a treatment for inadequate lash growth. Latisse helps patients grow longer, fuller and darker eyelashes! Latisse is a once-nightly topical treatment applied to the base of your upper lashes. Most patients see full growth within 16 weeks. Latisse is available by prescription at Medical Vision Technology.
